TMC-367E

TMC-367E is a precision cleaning solvent blend of 1,2-trans-dichlorethylene and proprietary fluorinated compounds. It is designed to be HFC-free for cleaning applications as a direct replacement for solvents such as nPB, Chemours Vertrel®, 3M Novec®, HCFC-225 and others.

Application of TMC-367E

This solvent mixture is perfectly suited for steam degreasing in modern equipment, refrigerant flushing applications and many other applications. Its solubility towards hydrocarbon stains and fluxes is excellent. It can reliably replace cleaning solvents such as n-propyl bromide (nPB), trichlorethylene (TCE), Vertrel™, Novec™, HCFC-225 and others in many applications. It can also be used as a carrier fluid for depositing materials such as silicon and other oils.

Flammability of TMC-367E

TMC-367E does not have a flash point according to the Pensky-Martens Closed Cup (ASTM D93) or Tag Closed Cup (ASTM D56) method and is not classified as flammable by OSHA or DOT. However, like most halogenated solvents, it has limited flammability in air in the presence of a high ignition energy source (e.g., a blowtorch). TMC-367E is not classified by DOT as flammable or hazardous to transport.

Storage and handling

TMC-367E is thermally stable and will not oxidize or decompose during storage under normal conditions. The product should be stored in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight or other heat sources. Do not freeze or store at temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or above 90°F (32°C) to avoid leakage or rupture of the container due to contraction/expansion and pressure changes. A drum pump should be used to dispense solvent from the tank.
