Klubersynth AR 34-401 Description

Klubersynth AR 34-401 is NSF H1 registered and therefore complies with FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570. The lubricant was developed for incidental contact with products and packaging materials in the food-processing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical or animal feed industries.
The use of Klübersynth AR 34-401 can contribute to increase reliability of your production processes. We nevertheless recommend conducting an additional risk analysis, e.g. HACCP.

Klubersynth AR 34-401 Application.

Klubersynth AR 34-401 is primarily used for pneumatic control and sealing elements in compressed air systems. It is commonly employed in ISO single-acting and double-acting pneumatic cylinders, both with and without piston rods, as well as pneumatic rotary actuators and short-stroke or compact cylinders. The grease is also well-suited for valves and their corresponding sealing components.
This lubricant offers a wide range of piston speeds, ranging approximately 0.01 m/s to over 1 m/s. It provides several advantages, such as low breakaway torque even after prolonged periods of inactivity and reduced tendency to stick-slip at very low piston speeds.
Klubersynth AR 34-401 is especially effective when used in combination with various types of piston, rod, and damping seals made of NBR or PU elastomer materials. However, please note that it is not specifically approved for use as a lubricant for gas burning installations and actuators according to DIN EN 377 class D.

For the application of Klubersynth AR 34-401, it can be applied using various methods such as a brush, sponge, spatula, grease gun, or other conventional metering systems. When lubricating cylinder faces, using round brushes or automatic greasing pistons has proven to be effective.
After assembly, it is important to move the piston several times over the full stroke length to ensure that both sides of the sealing elements are adequately lubricated, especially if one-sided lubrication was the only option. The same procedure applies to valves.
In some cases, applying slightly more lubricant than needed to the piston seal after multiple strokes can result in a more uniform grease layer, depending on the size and circumference of the application. It is essential to apply the lubricant to a clean, grease-free surface to achieve optimal performance.
