Krytox GPL 224 Grease

Krytox GPL224 is a PFPE-based grease engineered with a PTFE thickener and additized sodium nitrite for improved anti-corrosion performance. Krytox™ GPL224 is commonly used in a broad variety of applications within the automotive and industrial markets. Krytox™ GPL224 exhibits exceptional rust protection at ambient temperatures, corrosion protection at elevated temperatures and anti-wear performance. 

The Krytox GPL 224 grease contains an anti-corrosion/anti-wear inhibitor and is ideal for corrosive environments where there is no danger of the sodium nitrite additive reacting with chemicals or causing contamination problems. Typical applications are automotive bearings, sealed pump bearings, electric motor bearings, and general purpose bearings. Krytox oils and greases are silicone free. They do not contain any VOC materials or chlorine and are not hazardous to the atmosphere or ozone layer. They are biologically and environmentally inert.

Krytox GPL224 has a base oil viscosity of 30 centistokes at 40°C and is suitable for use in applications up to 179°C (355°F).

Krytox GPL224 greases are white buttery greases with all of the same chemical properties as the Krytox™ GPL104 oil that they are made from. 

Krytox GPL224 has a medium molecular weight PFPE base oil, that improves functionality at medium to high temperatures for specific applications.
